From 7 to 9 October 2021 - after more than a year of postponement due to the Covid emergency - the 26 Forum of Mediterranean Maritime Heritage was held in Barcelona, dedicated to the theme of “intangible cultural heritage”. The reports presented in the various work sessions concerned methodological aspects, but above all concrete work experiences and "best practices", dedicating a final session also to a laboratory about oral memory.
During a break, an excursion to the port of Barcelona was organized on board of a "golondrina", the typical ferry that accompanied shipyard workers to work, while the forum had its worthy conclusion with a social dinner at the interior of the Museu Maritim in Barcelona next to the galley.
At the end of the forum was held the assembly of the members of AMMM who elected Davide Gnola, Director of the Maritime Museum of Cesenatico, as the new president of the AMMM, together with a new executive committee and working group (here the presentation letter of the new president). Davide Gnola thanked for the work done the previous president Maria Paola Profumo, and also Elvira Mata, who a few months ago left the direction of the Barcelona Museum to the new director Enric Garcia.
Appointment now at the next Forum, which will be held in Piran, Slovenia, in September 2022.
